Martin Ong Yambao's practice navigates the impermanence of memory and its entanglement with both individual and collective experience. Working across moving image, painting, sculpture and installation, he engages disruption as both subject and method, often using found materials to examine fragmentation, erasure, and the vestiges of pre-colonial knowledge systems and beliefs in contemporary post-colonial human geography.
